1. Do I need a visa to go to Taiwan?
In
general, Filipinos are required to have a visa when visiting
Taiwan unless, you haven't worked to Taiwan as a blue-collar worker and your
passport currently holds valid visas or permanent resident cards of U.S.A., Canada, Japan, U.K.,
EU Schengen, Australia and New Zealand. Then you will only need to register for
approval at https://niaspeedy.immigration.gov.tw/nia_southeast . You are only allowed to stay
maximum up to thirty (30) days.
For those who fail to show valid visas or permanent
resident cards of the above-mentioned countries, ENTRY TO TAIWAN
IS PROHIBITED.
2. What are the requirements?
- An online Visa Application Form please access
(https://visawebapp.boca.gov.tw to fill up the Form and print them
out)
- Two (2) passport size photos 1.5”x2” with white background
(taken within
the last three (3) months)
- Passport valid for at least six months and old passport
showing previous travels
- Birth Certificate issued by NSO
- Marriage Contract (if applicable) issued by NSO
- Certificate of Employment
- Financial statements of the applicant (Bank Book or Bank
Statements)
- Traveling on BUSINESS, you must also submit:
- Certificate of Business Name Registration and SEC Registration(If owner of the company)
- Invitation Letter from Taiwan company / organization in Chinese
letterhead that outlines clearly purpose of your visit and
duration of your stay
- Request letter from applicant’s company
- Certificate of Employment

3. What should I submit regarding
Bank documents?
You can submit Bank Certificate or
Bank Statements. Your passbook also serves as a bank statement.
4. How much should I have in my
Bank account?
The embassy does not tell
specifically how much is the amount required. You need to show to the embassy
that you have an adequate amount of funds to finance your travel. To increase
the chance of your approval, one should have at least P 20,000.
5. Fees and processing days?
Processing Time : 3
Working days
Releasing Time : Monday to
Friday 1: 45PM to 4:45PM
NOTE: THE EMBASSY RESERVES THE
RIGHT TO WITHHOLD THE REASON FOR THE DISAPPROVAL OF ANY VISA APPLICATION

Office in the Philippines
RCBC Tower, 41st floor, Tower
1 across People Support Building and Makati Medical Center.
7. How long can I stay?
For single-entry visa, you are only allowed to stay in Taiwan for up to fourteen (14) days valid three (3) months from the issued date. Example, you received your visa September 1, 2015, you can visit Taiwan anytime from September 1 until November 30, 2015. If you decided to go on November 25, you must leave Taiwan before November 30 since your visa has already expired.
8. What are the other things I
should keep in mind?
· When
filling out your application, answer all the requirements truthfully. When it is
not applicable, please put N/A and don't leave it blank.
· All
documents to be submitted should be Original and with 1 photocopy
· The
applicant will be scheduled for an interview (if
required)
